What to do with this number
If the per-hour number is lower than what you'd make working for somebody else, the job is a hobby with extra steps. Two things fix it, and neither is working faster.
- Raise the price on new customers. Not the ones you already have — the next ones.
- Tighten the drive. Two jobs on the same street beat two jobs across town at any price.
- Set a minimum. If the drive is 25 minutes each way, no job under two hours makes sense.
