Why this number is usually higher than you expected
Because the arithmetic everyone does in their head is what I want ÷ 2,080 hours, and almost none of those 2,080 hours are billable. You drive, you quote, you chase invoices, you fix the mower. The hours you can actually charge for are the only ones paying for all of it.
